Trax is seeking an experienced Product Manager to own the product roadmap and end-to-end product delivery for the Electronic Logbook (ELB) product line within the Trax aviation maintenance ecosystem.


This role combines strategic roadmap ownership with hands-on product ownership responsibilities, ensuring that roadmap priorities translate into clear requirements, prioritized backlogs, and predictable delivery. The Product Manager serves as the single accountable owner for what we build, why we build it, and how it is sequenced and delivered.

Requirements:

Strategic Ownership

  • Own and maintain the multi-year product roadmap for an assigned Trax product line.
  • Establish and govern roadmap processes including intake, prioritization, sequencing, and change control.
  • Translate customer, regulatory, and operational needs into strategic roadmap initiatives.
  • Define product OKRs, success metrics, and business cases for roadmap investments.
  • Communicate roadmap direction, tradeoffs, and priorities to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Ensure roadmap alignment with Trax strategic themes (SaaS adoption, modernization, quality, scalability).

Delivery Responsibilities

  • Own and prioritize the product backlog aligned to roadmap outcomes.
  • Define epics, features, and detailed requirements including acceptance criteria.
  • Lead backlog refinement, sprint planning readiness, and scope decisions.
  • Partner closely with Engineering and QA to ensure requirements clarity and delivery feasibility.
  • Participate in sprint reviews and accept completed work against requirements.
  • Balance roadmap priorities with defects, technical debt, and customer commitments.
  • Ensure traceability from roadmap initiatives ? backlog ? delivered functionality.

Delivery Accountability & Productivity

  • Be accountable for team delivery performance and productivity against committed sprint goals.
  • Monitor velocity, predictability, and release cadence.
  • Identify and help remove blockers impacting roadmap delivery.
  • Ensure alignment between roadmap commitments and engineering capacity.

Cross-Functional Execution

  • Align Product Owners, Engineering, Architecture, QA, Support, and Implementation on priorities and scope.
  • Drive release scope decisions and sequencing in partnership with delivery teams.
  • Provide domain and workflow expertise for aviation maintenance operations.
  • Support customer-facing teams with roadmap context and feature intent.
  • Monitor delivery progress and adjust priorities based on outcomes and constraints.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years product management experience in enterprise or SaaS software
  • Proven ownership of product roadmap strategy and backlog execution
  • Strong requirements definition and prioritization expertise.
  • Demonstrated expertise in leveraging Jira to manage product backlogs, drive sprint execution, monitor team velocity, and maintain roadmap alignment.
  • Experience working directly with engineering teams in Agile delivery
  • Ability to operate at both strategic and detailed execution levels
  • Excellent communication with technical, operational, and executive stakeholders
  • Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder product environments

Preferred / Trax-Relevant Experience

  • Aviation, MRO, fleet management, or regulated enterprise software
  • Mobile/native iOS product ecosystems
  • SaaS transition or modernization programs
  • Large airline or M&E customer environments
  • Atlassian/Jira product lifecycle management practices
