This role is designed for a leader who excels in high-stakes environments, capable of managing complex carrier relationships and implementing process overhauls that yield measurable financial results. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between high-level strategic planning and daily execution.Core Responsibilities
  • Operational Leadership: Oversee the day-to-day functions of the Centralized Dispatch System, ensuring optimal asset utilization and driver performance.
  • Efficiency Management: Identify and eliminate inefficiencies within the network; specifically targeting the reduction of deadhead miles and unnecessary fuel expenditures.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the Director of Operations to execute business plans that scale fleet capacity based on fluctuating shipping volumes (10%–20%+ thresholds).
  • SOP Development: Design and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for inventory management, parts receiving, and shop office workflows.
  • Account Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for key industrial accounts, ensuring logistics solutions align with client manufacturing and distribution schedules.
  • Performance Metrics: Utilize data modeling to analyze cost-per-pound delivery zones and adjust fuel surcharges or stop-off fees dynamically.
Qualifications
  • Experience: 7+ years in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership or supervisory role.
