Summary

In the role of Traveling Foreman, you will be responsible for leading field installation crews across multiple job sites while ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to GarageCo quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, technical ability, and a commitment to representing the company professionally in front of customers and general contractors. This position will travel extensively to support projects and field operations. This position requires travel and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced field environment.


Duties

  • Lead and manage a crew of 3โ€“4 technicians on active job sites
  • Maintain a professional presence and represent GarageCo in the field
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with OSHA standards
  • Monitor crew productivity and manage jobsite time to ensure efficient use of labor hours
  • Read and interpret blueprints and structural drawings to execute projects correctly
  • Coordinate with customers and general contractors to maintain strong working relationships
  • Oversee the quality of work and ensure installations meet company standards
  • Identify and address jobsite challenges in real time
  • Ensure all equipment is used properly and safely
  • Promote accountability and maintain a positive, productive team environment

Travel Requirements

  • Ability to travel for extended periods (up to 6โ€“8 weeks as needed)
  • Travel varies based on project needs

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must possess a valid Driverโ€™s License.
  • Must have an accepted MVR to be added to our auto insurance policy.
  • Welding experience required (certification preferred or willingness to test for certification)
  • Strong ability to read and understand blueprints and structural drawings
  • Forklift certification
  • Man lift / boom lift certification
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
  • Rigging experience and/or certification
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Proven ability to lead and manage a small crew
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work professionally with customers and general contractors
  • Ability to pass a background check

  • Work environments will vary by project, but all sites are expected to meet safety and compliance standards.
