Summary

In the role of Traveling Apprentice, you will support field installation crews across multiple job sites while learning the skills needed to grow within GarageCo. This role is hands-on and focused on assisting the Foreman and team while developing technical ability, jobsite awareness, and safe work practices. The position is best suited for individuals who are flexible, willing to travel, eager to learn, and able to maintain a strong work ethic in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.


Duties

  • Assist the Foreman and crew with daily jobsite tasks
  • Follow directions and support the team to complete projects efficiently
  • Always work safely and follow OSHA and company safety standards
  • Help with equipment setup, material handling, and job site organization
  • Learn to read blueprints and understand installation processes
  • Maintain a professional attitude with customers and general contractors
  • Support quality work and take pride in completed projects
  • Communicate clearly with team members and leadership

Travel Requirements

  • Ability to travel for extended periods (up to 6–8 weeks as needed)
  • Travel varies based on project needs

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License.
  • Must have an accepted MVR to be added to our auto insurance policy.
  • Forklift certification
  • Man lift / boom lift certification
  • OSHA 10 certification
  • Rigging experience and/or certification
  • Basic understanding of mechanical systems
  • Welding experience preferred, training provided if needed
  • Ability to work well with others and take direction from a Foreman
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work professionally with customers and GCs
  • Ability to pass a background check

Work Conditions

  • Work environments will vary by project, but all sites are expected to meet safety and compliance standards.
