Job Requirements
  • Current Respiratory Therapist credential and eligibility to practice in the assigned hospital setting
  • At least 1 year of respiratory therapy experience required
  • Experience with invasive and non-invasive ventilatory support preferred
  • BLS certification required; ACLS knowledge preferred
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and critical-thinking skills
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining a high standard of patient care
Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients and recommend appropriate respiratory treatment plans
  • Provide routine and intensive respiratory care, including oxygen, aerosol, humidification, and ventilation therapies
  • Perform chest physiotherapy, suctioning, oximetry, capnography, and pulmonary function studies per policy
  • Assist with respiratory care procedures and support airway management needs
  • Set up, test, monitor, and maintain ventilatory equipment
  • Document treatments, assessments, and patient responses accurately and thoroughly
  • Communicate effectively with physicians and team members during handoff and shift-to-shift reporting
  • Support patient education and discharge teaching related to respiratory care
