This travel assignment takes place in a short-term acute care hospital setting. Office hours are typically 7:00 amโ€“5:00 pm with shifts that may start at different times during the day. No on-call is required, but weekend inpatient duties are required on a rotating basis every 5โ€“7 weeks. Assignment manager: Healthforce Healthcare LLC.

Responsibilities
- Conduct initial PT evaluations and ongoing reassessments; develop and implement evidence-based plans of care for adult inpatients and home health patients per physician orders.
- Administer and progress PT interventions, including therapeutic exercises, gait and balance training, transfer and position techniques, ROM, and manual therapy as appropriate within scope.
- Monitor patient responses, document progress in the medical record, and communicate changes to the interdisciplinary team; ensure timely, accurate charting and compliance with privacy regulations.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and staff to support discharge planning and safe transitions of care; provide patient and family education on exercises, safety, and home programs.
- Participate in weekend inpatient duties on a rotating basis (every 5โ€“7 weeks) and support IP coverage as needed; no on-call requirement.
Requirements
- Active Physical Therapist license in California
- BLS certification
- Womenโ€™s health experience and/or certification or currently working toward PRPC or WCS
- 3โ€“5 years of PT experience preferred
- Ability to work in an inpatient acute care setting and participate in weekend coverage as required
- Availability to start on 06/22/2026 for a 13-week assignment
