Opportunity: Director of Business and Leisure Travel

Your Focus
  • Analyze market trends and travel patterns to ensure that all corporate and leisure accounts meet or exceed revenue expectations and customer satisfaction.
  • Responsible for meeting budgeted goals in both segments.
  • Develop and implement, in conjunction with sales and revenue management, special B2B packages and create new offers within guidelines.
  • Use professional sales techniques to negotiate the best possible terms and conditions that satisfy customer (internal and external) requirements.
  • Manage accounts ensuring pertinent aspects of solicitation and closing are complete and documented.
  • Coordinate various departments' participation in servicing accounts.
  • Maintain hotel relationships with key accounts to increase customer satisfaction and account revenue.
  • Develop and conduct persuasive verbal sales presentations to prospective clients.
  • Articulate and leverage the benefits of the hotel to close sales opportunities.
  • Travel locally to conduct outside calls, promote the hotel and review competition.
  • Represent the hotel at trade shows.
  • Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHM's EarthView program.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management

Your Background and Skills
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 5 years of leisure sales experience in the hospitality industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of corporate travel procurement is preferred.

Work Environment and Context
  • Work schedule varies and may include working on holidays and weekends depending on client events or peak travel seasons.
  • Requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 25 pounds, bending and reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
