A trauma program manager (TPM) develops and oversees all operational nursing issues related to emergency trauma care at a hospital or medical facility. Position Summary
The Native American Services (NAS) Program Manager position creates low-barrier, culturally grounded engagement at CCH for Indigenous individuals and familie s surviving or recovering from homelessness by facilitating weekly cultural and community groups and events , supervising program staff , and offering cultural humility and best practice training to direct service staff across the organization . Native American Services addresses and attends to the social and cultural needs of its clients, while also connecting them to concrete resources for substance misuse, behavioral health challeng es, medical needs, and housing insecurity . The NAS Program Manager leads White Bisonβs Medicine Wheel and 12 Step programming, Talking Circles, and other cultural programming that address historical , intergeneration, and personal trauma, addiction and recovery, and healing through storytelling, cultural arts, tradition al medicine , language, and legacy from various Indigenous communities . The NAS Program Manager serves in the Department of Outreach and Engagement Services (DOES) and coordinates service connections across programs for NAS participants. The NAS Program Manager also supports general operations of the community milieu for DOES and coordinates the successful scheduling and facilitation of groups and events for the department.
Duties/Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
Recruits, hires, trains, and supervises program staff in alignment with departmental and organizational goals.
Conducts regular supervision with direct reports to provide coaching, support, and performance management.
Facilitates team meetings to provide updates, share resources, coordinate services, and support staff development.
Sets and monitors staff performance objectives to ensure progress toward individual, programmatic, and organizational goals.
Assists with onboarding and ongoing professional development of staff, ensuring clarity of roles and expectations.
Provides oversight of day-to-day program operations to ensure alignment with internal policies, funding requirements, and evidence-based practices.
Supports the implementation of Trauma-Informed Care, Support-Centered Housing, services that reduce harm and promote recovery, and other evidence-based service models.
Participates in quality improvement efforts by supporting implementation, documentation, monitoring, and follow-up.
Assists in the development and oversight of program budgets, grants, and reporting deliverables, as assigned.
Demonstrates competency in EHR (Electronic Health Record) , HMIS (Homelessness Management Information System) , and other data systems and ensures staff compliance with documentation standards.
Maintains timely , accurate , and complete client records and ensures all required data is captured and reported.
Responds to emails, voicemails, and service needs in a timely and professional manner.
Collaborates with internal teams and external partners to support effective coordination of care and program operations.
Maintains a respectful work environment that supports belonging, teamwork, and collaboration.
Understands and adheres to organizational policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
Performs other duties as assigned to support program and organizational effectiveness.
Education, Experience and Job Competencies
Education
Bachelorβs degree in human services, social work, psychology, counseling , international relations, or related field preferred.
Experience may be substituted for education.
Active certification in basic life support or able to obtain certification within 30 days of employment.
Two years of m anagement and supervisory experience preferred .
Experience
Significant experience and competence in working with Indigenous persons, families, communities, and Tribes preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the fields of substance use treatment, mental health, and homelessness.
Experience working with chronically homeless individuals, particularly those with serious mental illness, substance use disorders, or complex barriers to engagement.
Proven program management and supervisory experience, including staff development and team leadership.
Familiarity with non-profit organizational management practices.
Understanding of basic accounting principles and their application in a program setting.
Working knowledge of HIPAA federal and state compliance requirements.
Knowledge of homeless issues and sensitivity to the needs of underserved populations .
Strong critical thinking and sound decision-making skills, with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and assertive communication skills; high degree of emotional intelligence.
Effective oral and written communication skills; able to engage diverse audiences.
Ability to organize and prioritize multiple responsibilities and manage tasks independently.
Attention to detail and accuracy in data management and reporting.
Proficient in using office equipment and software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Office 365, email, and HR systems.
Skilled in negotiation and mediation, especially in high- stakes or sensitive situations.

Valid driverβs license required . This requirement may be waived, if necessary, based on overall candidate experience and current needs of the agency.

Department Ove rview & Requirements
This position works approximately 8 hours per day, 5 days a week (Monday through Friday), in person at both office and field locations. This position is based at 2100 Stout St, Denver, CO, 80205.
