What is trap shooting?

Trap shooting is a competitive clay target shooting sport where participants use shotguns to shoot at clay disks (called targets) launched away from them at varying angles and speeds. The sport requires quick reflexes, precision, and concentration as shooters aim to break as many targets as possible in a set round. Trap shooting is popular worldwide and is one of the three major disciplines of competitive clay pigeon shooting, alongside skeet and sporting clays. It can be enjoyed recreationally or at professional and Olympic levels.
