About the Position: This position is with the Anniston Munitions Center located at Anniston, Alabama. This position serves as a Transportation Assistant (OA) responsible for coordinating transportation operations, managing shipments, maintaining transportation records, and providing administrative support in accordance with DOD regulations.Qualifications:

Specialized Experience Statement: One year of specialized experience which includes: performing transportation and logistics duties, including managing, shipping, receiving; selecting the appropriate carriers and modes of transport based on shipment size, route availability, and security requirements; preparing shipping documentation such as bills of lading; coordinating special handling for oversized or classified materials; maintaining transportation records; and providing administrative support including travel orders, training files, and correspondence preparation. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-6).
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).Education:This job does not have an education qualification requirement.Employment Type: OTHER
