Job description

Position Summary
This position is accountable for the operation, personnel management, and the service to customers within a specified geographic region.
Essential Functions
  • Promote and develop safe work behaviors in line with the companys safety programs and objectives
  • Monitor hours of service for drivers; maintain compliance with all company and government regulations and policies
  • Supervise performance of drivers to achieve incident free deliveries of every load
  • Lead, manage, evaluate, and develop staff personnel
  • Forecast terminal performance; evaluate performance and take corrective action to meet expense and financial forecast
  • Engage local customers regularly to drive growth and enhance relationships
  • Ensure maximum asset utilization

Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in business related field or equivalent business experience in the transportation industry
  • Excellent conflict resolution skills
  • Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to influence
