Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and accomplishedRoad & Transportation Project Managerto join our team inCentreville, Virginia. This is a leadership role for a seasoned professional who understands how to successfullyplan, design, and deliver complex roadway and transportation projects, while building strong client relationships and helping grow the business.

The ideal candidate is a proven leader who inspires trust, loyalty, and commitment; brings deep technical expertise in roadway design and transportation infrastructure; and hasextensive experience working with the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT). This individual must be comfortable leading teams, managing project delivery from design through construction, supporting business development efforts, and serving as a visible and trusted client partner.

Responsibilities :

  • In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing a civil design team's technical deliverables and meeting project schedules from design through construction.
  • Using your technical expertise, you will ensure the highest quality engineering is put forth to meet all design requirements.
  • Our PMs are heavily involved in identifying new business and participate in the proposal process, and then stay technically hands on throughout the life of the project, managing the project through final execution.
  • We expect you to identify new opportunities with your current contacts in the region and help grow the business.
    Qualifications:
  • 12 years or more experience on major road and highway projects, with a demonstrated work history in project management
  • VA/MD/DC experience is required
  • BS degree in civil engineering or a related field is required, and a background in road/highway projects, as well as previous supervisory or PM experience, is required.
  • Must have the ability and willingness to interface with clients, participate in BD functions and enjoy being hands on technically in the project.
  • Proven leadership and team-building skills along with a professional demeanor
  • Knowledge of VA/MD/D clients and professional network in the area is preferred, but PM experience with state DOT projects in other states is considered
  • PE license is required
