Business Development Manager– Eastern Region

About the Role:

We’re looking for a driven and customer-focused Business Development Manager to join our team and help expand our presence in the Eastern Region of the US with Europe & Asia trade lanes. In this role, you'll be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, managing client relationships, and providing tailored supply chain solutions for companies moving goods between North America, Europe and Asia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a sales strategy focused on growing Transatlantic trade lanes (primarily North America ↔ Europe).
  • Build strong relationships with importers, exporters, and supply chain decision-makers.
  • Understand client supply chain needs and offer solutions (e.g., ocean freight, air freight, warehousing, customs brokerage).
  • Collaborate with operations and pricing teams to prepare proposals and quotes.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and global shipping challenges.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets, KPIs, and growth expectations.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in B2B sales, in logistics, freight forwarding, with knowledge of customs brokerage a plus.
  • Strong understanding of Transatlantic trade lanes, Transpacific trade lanes, and Incoterms.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Comfortable with CRM tools, sales reporting, and virtual communication platforms.
  • Willingness to travel (domestically and internationally if needed).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10+ years in logistics or freight sales (Transatlantic focus a strong plus).
  • Knowledge of customs regulations, import/export processes, and trade compliance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
