Job Title: Transitional Housing Specialist
Program: Transitional Housing Services
Reports to: Director of Housing and Financial Assistance
Schedule: Monday Friday 8:00am-4:00pm Occasional Evenings
Classification: Full Time-Non-Exempt
Job Classification: Advocate
SUMMARY:
Coordinate and assure continuity of services necessary for a clients success in the Transitional Housing Program through case management and counseling. Provide assessment, monitoring, planning, linkage and advocacy for the most appropriate services for clients enrolled. Effectively maintain and manage assigned caseload contingent on needs, strengths, and abilities of the client served. Adheres to all agency and grant requirements.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Education Required: Bachelors Degree in Social Services, Counseling or Related Field, Valid Drivers License
Experience Required:
  • 1-5 years experience working with families in crisis
  • Experience working with DV Victims
  • 3-5 years of job-related experience.
  • Experience in residential setting/group home (Preferred)
  • Strong Project Management and personal workflow skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Bilingual, Spanish speaking and writing (a plus)

Credentialling Required: X 40 Hour DV Training
