Position Overview:
Supported Employment isn't just a career service. Our team helps individuals identify their strengths, motivations, and preferences to be placed in competitive positions. The major goal for our team is to assist clients in becoming self-sufficient through competitive, community-based employment. Essentially, the most important aspect of being an Employment Specialist is to find jobs for our clientele and support them in every step of the way.
 
Location/Schedule –  60 Highway 22 Milledgeville GA.  Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm 
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Must be willing to transport clients in personal vehicle.
  • Engage clients and establish trusting, collaborative relationships directed toward the goal of competitive employment in community job settings with other workers who do not necessarily have disabilities.
  • Provides a broad range of paraprofessional social services to patients/clients/consumers and their families, participates in treatment team planning, and performs crisis intervention. 
  • Conducts job development and networks with community business and leaders directed toward positions that are individualized to the interests of the team member’s caseload. 
  • Conducts a minimum of 6 employer contacts per week.
  • Assists in dealing with personal and social problems.
  • Provides individualized follow along support to assist clients in maintaining employment. 
  •  Provides outreach services as necessary to clients when they appear to disengage from the service. Uses a variety of methods to provide outreach. 
  • Collaborate with Vocational Rehabilitation counselor to coordinate services for clients.
 
Training & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Psychology, Sociology, and Human Services.
  • 2 years of Social Service or related experience.
  • One year of experience working with Developmental Disabilities.
  • At least 6 months job coaching experience. Preferred.

River Edge is seeking an experienced and licensed Supported Employment and Service Coordination Supervisor to join our team. This is a critical leadership role focused on overseeing our Individual Placement and Support (IPS)-based support employment programs within our Adult Outpatient Center. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in behavioral health and a passion for recovery-oriented employment services.
 
Position Overview:
This supervisor is responsible for ensuring strong program outcomes by providing supervision, training, and field-based mentoring to employment specialists. The role also includes tracking and improving clinical and employment outcomes, facilitating collaboration across teams and external agencies, and leading quality improvement efforts. The supervisor will oversee up to ten employment specialists and report directly to the Chief Clinical Officer.
 
Location/Schedule: 175 Emery Highway, Macon. GA, Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct and track biopsychosocial assessments, treatment planning, and discharge planning (in person or via telehealth).
  • Evaluate referrals for group appropriateness (NGRI/IST, parole/probation, hospitals, etc.). Collaborate with group leaders to develop tailored treatment interventions.
  • Manage discharges and coordinate transitions to other programs.
  • Document and communicate updates to external partners (courts, parole/probation, NGRI/IST, etc.).
  • Attend and report at monthly NGRI/IST meetings (3rd Tuesday of each month).
  • Attend monthly supported employment meetings and provide client updates.
 
Supervision & Training:
  • Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate employment specialists.
  • Develop clear performance expectations (e.g., job starts, employment rate).
  • Conduct weekly group supervision in line with IPS principles.
 
Program Management & Quality Improvement:
  • Track and analyze monthly client outcomes.
  • Review data with the team quarterly; create and implement improvement plans.
  • Arrange IPS fidelity reviews and implement fidelity action plans.
 
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in social work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related behavioral health field.
  • Licensed or license-eligible in Georgia as an LCSW/LMSW, LPC/APC, or LMFT/LAMFT. Must actively pursue full licensure upon hire.
  • Strong communication, mentorship, and organizational skills.
