Job description


I. Job Summary
Manages the day-to-day operations of multiple transfer stations. This role will primarily support Reno but will have oversight of 4 locations locally.
II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Monitors transfer stations' work processes, procedures and expenses, and establishes programs which drive team performance toward departmental and organizational goals.
  • Ensures smooth operation of multiple transfer stations, including: gatehouse, sorting, loading.
  • Reviews and evaluates work to ensure quality, timeliness and ensures quality control in adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Minimizes handling and operational costs and off-site impact.
  • Interfaces frequently with Director of Operations for further opportunities.
  • Coordinates with sales for opportunities.
  • Coordinates with MRF COE and Director of Operations to adjust site operations as commodity prices fluctuate.
  • Regularly proposes means of improvement.
  • Communicates and interfaces effectively with employees, supervisors, vendors.
  • Develops and interprets organizational goals, policies and procedures, and reviews and updates project plans as appropriate.
  • Maintains a clean, safe work environment in compliance with OSHA/Corporate Standards.

III. Qualifications
A. Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree (accredited) or in lieu of degree
  • High School Diploma or GED (accredited)
  • seven years of relevant work experience.
  • 7 years of prior work experience (in addition to education requirement).

PAY: The expected base pay range for this office/on-site position is $90,000 - $100,000. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific salary offered to a successful candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location.
