Job Summary:The Transfer Credit Evaluator is responsible for reviewing, evaluating, and posting course equivalencies for both traditional and non-traditional credit experiences for deposited and matriculated undergraduate and graduate students. This role manages the workflow for over 20,000 transfer credits annually and collaborates with academic departments, program advisors, faculty, and external institutions to maintain accurate and up-to-date transfer credit records. This position also directly supports registration, degree audit, and graduation processes.
Key Responsibilities:Review and evaluate transfer credits from a variety of sources to ensure consistent and timely processing.
Serve as the primary point of contact for Acadeum, a course-sharing consortium, including handling course evaluations, responding to inquiries, and initiating enrollment requests with host institutions.
Coordinate and process High School Dual Enrollment and Non-Degree registration requests, including communication with students and course registration.
Enter degree audit exceptions and overrides for undergraduate and graduate students.
Conduct thorough evaluations of degree audits to clear students for graduation, three times per academic year.
Provide direct support for registration and graduation processes.
Duties:Assess, authenticate, and research documents submitted for transfer credit evaluation, including but not limited to College Level Examination Program (CLEP) scores, Advanced Placement (AP) scores, International Baccalaureate (18) scores, military transcripts, and college/university transcripts.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of work-related information in compliance with FERPA.
Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree required.
At least one year of work experience in Registration Services or Enrollment Management preferred.
Familiarity with academic credit evaluation and degree audit systems preferred. Experience with Ellucian/Colleague student information system preferred.
Physical Requirements:Some lifting of boxes, files. Occasional evening and weekend hours are required for certain events such as commencement.
