Led by the firm's first Chief Marketing Officer, the marketing function at Goldman Sachs is backed by momentum and a broad imperative to unify the discipline, helping to codify a business-critical function seen as core to the firm's future growth. As such, GS is focused on building out a data-and-technology enabled team of growth marketers, delivering value for the brand and the business. The organization will consist of a number of key COE roles in areas such as Brand, Media, and Marketing Strategy, as well as marketing leads for each of our revenue divisions. Together, this team will collaborate to build a unified, scalable, and consistent approach to marketing the brand and its offerings. Our mission is to be a demonstrable force multiplier for the businesses we serve.
Within the Global Marketing function but aligned to the Global Banking and Markets division, sits the Transaction Banking marketing team, responsible for end-to-end marketing strategies and programs for the entirety of the division. Working across the core elements of the franchise -- the team leads messaging strategy, content creation, client engagement strategy, digital marketing, and marketing analytics. 

TRANSACTION BANKING (TxB)

We aim to build a modern and digital-first transaction banking solution to serve our clients. Our goal is to provide a best-in-class digital product that helps clients to succeed by giving them a holistic view of their business. Job Summary and Responsibilities 

We are looking for an intellectually ambitious, driven, entrepreneurial Associate to support the Transaction Banking marketing team. They will partner across the divisional marketing team, product and coverage teams to develop and execute content creation, digital marketing, conferences and events, paid media, social media, analytics, and design to support the commercial objectives of the business.

This person will also help develop content ideas and distribution strategies to drive engagement with clients and prospective clients. This person will also have a hand in measurement and analytics as we translate our team's work into commercial impact for key stakeholders. The position also involves project management, budget management, production oversight, regulatory compliance, stakeholder management.  Responsibilities include: 

  • Work closely with product and coverage teams to develop and execute bespoke marketing content around TxB products 
  • Lead and project manage external agencies for the end-to-end creation, design, and amplification of key marketing assets. 
  • Create and author briefs, storyboards, scripts, Q&As, ensuring they are clear and actionable.
  • Measure marketing impact through the use of data analytics tools and feedback from senior leadership
  • Create and oversee channel plans and creative elements, authoring social posts and emails, developing creative assets, and creating mock-ups.
  • Support comprehensive planning and execution of industry conference participation. Track client meetings, create internal briefing documents, develop panel proposals, and lead speaker preparation.
  • Support planning and execution of in-person and virtual client events, including agenda development, collateral creation, and speaker preparation. 
  • Manage a dedicated budget line item for content marketing initiatives, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently and effectively.
  • Manage approvals across legal and compliance, leadership, stakeholders, and business lines, where applicable, ensuring all content meets regulatory, compliance, and brand standards. 
  • Understand Transaction Banking Products (Liquidity, Payments, FX, Channels) and clients (corporate, FIs, etc.)

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years experience in marketing or communications
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize a high volume of tasks, manage multiple initiatives and stakeholders simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment while maintaining extremely high standards.
  • Generalist marketing skills including familiarity with marketing strategy, target audience definitions, creative development, content creation.
  • Thrives in fast-paced environment with the ability to think clearly under pressure, and handle simultaneous projects and deadlines
  • Liaise with and build strong relationships with cross-functional teams and leaders.
  • Collaborative, team player attitude with the ability to navigate and influence the organization
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to act on detailed feedback
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, time management and planning skills
  • Experience with Salesforce, Adobe Campaign, Figma, Sprinklr, and other B2B marketing tools 
  • Go getter with a "can do" attitude, the perfect candidate for this role should be ready to assist with any and all tasks
  • Creative problem solver
  • Success in navigating corporate environments or startups
  • Comfortable working autonomously 
  • Experience working in financial services is a plus

Salary Range
The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $100000-$160000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
