Team Overview:
The Business & Data Architecture team is a new greenfield build within Global Transaction Banking's Product Factory. The new Product Factory will comprise Product Strategy, Product Design and Development, Product Management, and Go-to-market activities for critical products and services TD will develop or enhance in coming years as well as manage existing capabilities currently in market and offered to existing transaction banking customers.
Position Overview:
As Vice President, your role is to shape and support how the organization's capabilities are delivered across business, data, and process domains. You act as a key connector between strategy and execution by helping translate enterprise direction into clear, actionable target states. This role focuses on enabling effective decision-making and delivery through strong partnership, practical architecture, and disciplined execution.
Your responsibilities focus on three primary areas:
Contribute to the development, maintenance, and ongoing refinement of business architecture strategies, including capability models, value streams, and related artifacts.
Translate enterprise and business strategy into defined target-state views across business, data, and process perspectives to support delivery teams and transformation initiatives.
Support business impact assessments to inform investment, prioritization, and change decisions.
The ideal candidate is an experienced business architect with a strong understanding of how strategy, operating models, and enabling technology work together. You collaborate closely with business leaders, technology teams, enterprise architecture, operations, risk, and external partners to support operational efficiency, improve the client experience, and advance the bank's strategic objectives. You maintain and evolve architecture artifacts to ensure initiatives are grounded in a clear understanding of organizational capabilities and execution needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain and update business architecture artifacts and capability models using established standards and templates.
• Support translation of business priorities into target state views, value streams, and capability roadmaps for assigned areas.
• Assist with capability maturity assessments by gathering inputs, documenting findings, and tracking alignment to defined objectives and measures.
• Identify and document gaps, overlaps, and improvement opportunities across business, data, and technology landscapes, and escalate observations as needed.
• Work with business, data, and technology architects to support alignment between current state and future state designs.
• Contribute to impact and risk assessments related to technology, data, and process changes by preparing analysis and supporting materials.
Candidate Requirements:
  • 7+ years of experience in Business Architecture, strategy consulting or enterprise transformation
  • 7+ years of experience in Transaction Banking
  • Experience in large-scale transformation or modernization programs.
  • Strong understanding and experience implementing capability modeling, target operating model design, and value stream thinking
  • Familiarity with Business & Data Architecture frameworks (e.g., BIZBOK) and modeling tools (e.g., HOPEX, ARIS)• Experience supporting enterprise transformation or strategic investment planning
  • Experience with data architecture, process improvement, or digital product development
  • Excellent communication, and storytelling skills (visual and verbal)
