Our business combines the strength, heritage, and expertise of a 150-year-old firm with the agility and entrepreneurial spirit of a tech start-up designed to solve some of the most complex operational needs in the industry. We aim to help our clients achieve Working Capital efficiency gains by optimizing their short term liquidity needs and simplifying their Cash Management operations.
We do so by delivering a best-in-class digital solution that helps clients manage their liquidity movements, foreign exchange and payments enabling international treasury operations and commerce.

YOUR IMPACT

We are seeking an Associate to contribute to Transaction Banking's (TxB) most critical strategic questions, including product expansion, commercial growth, market entry, and competitive positioning.
As part of the TxB Leadership and Strategy team, you will work alongside high performers to identify and size market opportunities, assess emerging payment and treasury trends, and develop actionable recommendations that drive our business's future success and maintain our competitive advantage.

The TxB Leadership and Strategy team is responsible for driving the division's strategic roadmap, financial planning, stakeholder alignment, and executive communications. In this multi-faceted role, you will work across the organization, collaborating closely with Product, Engineering, Sales, Finance, Risk, and Operations to deliver a seamless, high-performance transaction banking experience.
HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL
  • Strategic Planning & Execution: Work with senior leadership to develop, refine, and execute TxB's growth strategy, translating complex business objectives into clear, concise presentations for internal committees (e.g., Board, Operating Group) and external partners.
  • Market & Competitor Intelligence: Conduct deep-dive research on the Transaction Banking and Payments landscapes to uncover key industry shifts, evaluate competitor positioning, and identify potential strategic partnerships or product enhancements.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Facilitate strategic alignment working across product managers, engineering teams, sales coverage, and control functions (Risk, Compliance, Legal) to drive key business initiatives.
  • Performance Management: Define, track, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor business growth, product adoption, and financial performance, providing data-driven insights to senior executives.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • Professional Experience: Bachelor's degree with a strong academic record and 3-7 years of experience at a top-tier strategy consulting firm or in an investment banking role.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the Transaction Banking landscape, including Liquidity, Deposits, Commercial Payments (e.g., ACH, Wire, RTP, SWIFT), and Digital/API-led Products.
  • FinTech Acumen: Solid understanding of the current Transaction Banking landscape, emerging payment technologies, and digital treasury trends.
  • Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to develop, foster, and manage deep relationships with both internal cross-functional partners and external stakeholders in a matrixed environment.
  • Communication & Presentation: Extremely strong written and verbal communication skills. Highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to synthesize complex financial and technical concepts into concise, executive-level narratives.
  • Leadership Presence: Confidence and maturity to interact effectively, present recommendations, and build credibility with senior leaders and business executives.
  • Attributes: Self-starter with a strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills to manage shifting priorities, and a highly collaborative team-player mindset.

Salary Range
The expected base salary for this New York, NY, United States-based position is $100000-$160000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
