Job description

Resorts West Management Training Program is for perspective Hospitality professionals to gain experience across the myriad of Resorts West and hospitality disciplines within a relatively short amount of time.  Each graduate will gain excellent experience and in-depth job knowledge from each department which will aid the employee in any aspect of Hospitality as they move forward with their career.    Our program offers an opportunity and training sufficient to be considered for placement into a Supervisor or Manager level position after a training period of 12 to 18 months.  Each program participant will rotate through each division within Resorts West to gain in depth knowledge of the area.  These opportunities will develop the employee’s experiences in Housekeeping, Maintenance, Sales, Guest Services and Administration.  

• Comprehension of structure, roles, responsibilities and operating standards within the department the participant is specializing 
• Training and experience in crafting departmental schedules, managing payroll reporting and forecasting
• Understand Company performance management procedures 
• Education in how  to effectively conduct employee performance reviews and employee disciplinary discussions
• Interviewing and the philosophy behind the selection of candidates
• Attend  regular departmental communication meetings
• Understanding of department purchasing and inventory controls
• Maximize service delivery in all areas
• Special Projects as outlined by Department Head
