UxS/C-UxS Training Developer - Journeyman
Location: Alexandria, Virginia (Onsite)
Role Overview
An organization is seeking a UxS/C-UxS Training Developer to support training development of UxS/C-UxS capabilities. This role requires technical expertise and the ability to operate at a senior level to ensure that UxS considerations are integrated into planning and execution. The Training Developer will design, develop, and deliver curriculum to provide operational guidance on UxS employment to enhance U.S. and coalition force readiness.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, design, lead, manage, and maintain training curricula, Programs of Instruction (POIs), lesson plans, training aids, and supplemental training materials.
  • Design training content for multiple delivery formats including classroom, hands-on/practical, and computer-based instruction.
  • Lead task and skill analysis, training needs assessments, and gap analyses.
  • Revise training documents and materials based on system updates, student feedback, and Government direction.
  • Develop training materials for Government review and approval.
  • Ensure all training materials meet Government requirements and are reviewed and approved prior to publication.
  • Manage the review and evaluation of UxS and C-UxS training documentation including task inventory lists and skill analyses.
  • Coordinate with Government stakeholders on pre-deployment validation of training and training materials.
  • Deploy to CONUS and OCONUS locations, including conflict zones, to disseminate relevant threat information and support training.
Required Qualifications
Education and Experience: BA/BS with 4+ years; AA/AS with 8+ years; or HS/GED with 10+ years of relevant experience.
Technical Skills:
  • Experience with instructional systems design (ISD) methodologies, adult learning principles, and the ADDIE model.
  • Proven ability to apply the Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP) at a senior level, including participation in planning conferences, COA development, and mission briefings.
  • Experience instructing diverse audiences in a military training environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to brief and advise senior leaders during all operational phases.
  • Experience in pre-deployment training, FTX/LFX/VALEX events, and technical exchange exercises.
  • Domain specializations experience to include but are not limited to: Maritime operations, Fixed Site/Point and Base Defense operations, and Ground operations.
  • Experience working in joint, interagency, and coalition environments.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
