Job Summary:

The Training Specialist plays a critical role in developing the knowledge, skills, and proficiency of production team members. This position is responsible for designing, implementing, and delivering effective training programs that support operational excellence, employee development, safety compliance, and quality standards.

Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the Training Specialist collaborates closely with production leadership, quality, engineering, and other cross-functional teams to identify training needs, develop curriculum, evaluate training effectiveness, and facilitate hands-on learning experiences. This role serves as a key resource in building a highly skilled and engaged workforce.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Training Program Development: Create and update training materials to support production staff in safety, equipment use, procedures, and quality standards.
  • Training Delivery: Facilitate interactive training sessions using diverse instructional methods for both new and current employees.
  • Skill Assessment: Evaluate team members’ abilities and needs to tailor effective, targeted training.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Keep accurate training records and generate reports on performance and improvement areas.
  • Continuous Improvement: Regularly refine training content and methods to align with evolving standards and best practices.
  • Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to align training with operational goals and address workforce needs.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree and three years’ experience in a manufacturing, technical environment, Education, Training, or a related field.
  • Two years of proven experience in training design, development, and delivery, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Training certification (i.e. ATD, CPTD or CPTM) preferred
  • Strong knowledge of production processes, equipment, and quality management systems.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and individuals at various levels within the organization.
  • Demonstrated organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite, LMS and other relevant training software/tools.
