Description
This position is pending contract award. The anticipated start date is on October 1, 2026
The Director of Finance holds overall responsibility for the finance unit and the financial function of the program. This role directs all finance activities related to the group, including financial analysis, financial planning, budgeting, restructuring, liquidity management, risk management, cash management, financial institutions, suppliers, analysts, representation at public forums, and oversight of finance department activities supporting the IERW FSN program.
What you will be responsible for:
  • Develop and manage a centralized finance function to establish and maintain controls, budgeting and forecasting processes, and analytical capabilities for the program.

  • Implement a business planning process including initiative prioritization, operating and capital planning, performance and productivity reporting, and other areas deemed important by the Program and Deputy Director.

  • Lead the program through development of the operating plan and manage implementation across the period of performance for the program.

  • Develop presentations for the Program Senior Leadership, and corporate Leadership.

  • Manage the programs cash positions through periods of high and low liquidity.

  • Present and discuss with executive management the financial implications of operational plans, market performance (domestic and international), changes in Balance Sheet and P&L accounts, cause - and - effect analysis of transactions, trend interpretation, and strategic recommendations.

  • Develop and review annual budgets, capital and operating forecasts, and present monthly and quarterly comparisons of actual versus budgeted or forecasted results with variance analysis.

  • Provide strategic input and direction for program operational planning.

  • Develop cost accounting and reporting systems and provide cost breakdowns by cost drivers.

  • Develop and administer cost models showing market profitability using revenue indicators and cost drivers, providing strategic input and direction for selecting or discontinuing product or service lines.

  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
What you will need to be successful in this role:
  • Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) or Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree; or eight years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • MBA preferred.

  • At least ten (10) years of progressive finance experience is required.

  • At least five (5) years of leadership experience is preferred.

  • In depth knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations FAR, Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations DFAR, Cost Accounting Standards CAS, and related federal and state legislation and regulations.

  • In order to access the Fort Rucker site, U.S. citizenship is required.
