Position Description
  • Obtain certifications to be able to instruct OSHA 10 and 30, CPR and First Aid, and NCCER certifications trainings
  • Work with Training and Development team to ensure you are promoting the One Chamberlin vision for consistent training programs. This includes weekly check-ins with the Director of Training and Development
  • Partner with all levels of management and self-identify skills gaps across field and operational teams and recommend training solutions that support employee performance, safety, productivity and career development.
  • Identify, schedule, coordinate, design and conduct training events, including safety, craft, onboarding, refresher and development training.
  • Facilitate craft training, OSHA, First Aid/CPR training, and other safety-related courses as qualified or assigned.
  • Support and facilitate NCCER classes and curriculum, including coordinating participants, materials, attendance records and completion documentation.
  • Partner with Operations, Safety, Regional Human Resources and Training & Development leadership to schedule required training sessions and support market training needs.
  • Travel to other Chamberlin markets and to deliver, coordinate and support training programs.
  • Assist with training recordkeeping, certification tracking, attendance rosters and reporting requirements.
  • Help create and update training materials, presentations, job aids, assessments and class resources as needed.
  • Support Chamberlin University, mentoring, craft training and workforce development initiatives.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness through class feedback, participant performance, skills observations and input from operational leaders.
  • Participate in events at organizations that promote craft training in the construction industry with a goal of promoting Chamberlin programs and gathering information that can help you develop in your role and better Chamberlin
  • Continual personal development relating to your training and development skills
  • Coordinate logistics for classes, including schedules, rooms, equipment, materials, sign-in sheets and communication with participants and supervisors.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Position Requirements
Position Skills and Requirements:
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in training, construction, safety, workforce development, field operations, or a related area.
  • Ability to identify skills gaps and support the development of practical training solutions.
  • Ability to conduct training in classroom and field environments.
  • Knowledge and ability with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with training tracking systems preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to other markets as needed.
  • Good oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with field employees, supervisors, managers and support departments.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
  • Ability to work in a team atmosphere and build strong working relationships with Operations, Safety, Human Resources and field leadership.
  • Must have good organization skills and the ability to manage multiple classes, locations, schedules and priorities.
  • Must possess problem-solving skills, self-motivation and the ability to complete assignments with minimal guidance.
  • Capable of anticipating and addressing foreseeable training, scheduling or resource issues before they manifest.
  • Able to meet the physical and job-related requirements of the role, including standing for training facilitation, travel, bending, lifting training materials and wearing required PPE.

Education and Other Required Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Relevant job experience required; construction, safety, craft training, field operations or workforce development experience preferred.
  • OSHA 10, OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR, NCCER Instructor, or other applicable training and safety certifications preferred or ability to obtain as assigned.
  • Ability and willingness to travel to other Chamberlin markets to support training needs.
