Under the Supervision of the Adult Day Services Coordinator, the Developmental Trainer works directly with people who have Intellectual Disabilities and/or Autism, enrolled in our Adult Training Day Program. The Developmental Trainer supports with day-to-day community activities for participants to make progress in their individual support plan and live the life of their choosing. Close observance of licensing requirements is an essential part of this position.  
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

 Essential Functions Statement(s)
|  | •  | Will collaborate with the Adult Day Services Coordinator and other team members to create opportunities for program participants to improve their quality of life, to learn new skills, and to achieve goals related to their individual support plan in the facility and in the community.  
| •  | Work with staff and participants to maintain a respectful and safe environment for all participants to participate in programming and achieve established outcomes/goals. 
| •  | Will maintain professional and accurate documentation for tracking participant progress, attendance, and billing, daily.
| •  | Will attend any scheduled ISP review meetings for program participants, as assigned.  
| •  | Will follow all policies and regulations related to role to maintain highest level of care, safety, and quality of program services.    
| •  | Will discuss with program participants their options around community opportunities to support participant choice and their ability to achieve established outcomes/goals.   
| •  | Will follow proper regulations and policies to report all concerns or incidents related to participants to their supervisor and the program specialists immediately to ensure everyone’s safety and that procedures are followed to best support participants. 
| •  | Daily program duties could include periodically assisting participants in the program with activities of daily living and personal care needs per their Individual Support Plan.   
| •  | Completion of required trainings as designated by licensing and agency requests.   
| •  | Complete Medication Administration training and follow all policies and procedures related to medication.    
| •  | Drive a company vehicle or personal vehicle when necessary to support participants engagement in the community.   
| •  | Provide constructive and supportive feedback during team meetings and for staff evaluations on a yearly basis.   
| • | Engage in team meetings, process improvement, and fundraising opportunities to support the ongoing progress of Quest Inc.
| •  | Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.

 SKILLS & ABILITIES
 
Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required 
Associate’s degree (two year college or technical school) Preferred, Field of Study: Social Services  
Experience: 1 plus years of experience in Social Services 
Computer Skills: Microsoft Office.  
Certifications & Licenses: Current PA Driver's License- At least 3 years good driving record with valid vehicle insurance and inspection. Clear clearances- PA Criminal check, Child Abuse, and FBI. Physical completion, as well as TB test.   
 
Other Requirements: Possession of a reliable vehicle for transportation of program participants to varied work or volunteer sites. QUEST may also request developmental trainers to drive a company vehicle to transport participants to business sites for company tours, job exploration and recreational or volunteer opportunities in the community. Support participants with being engaged in Community Activities at least 25% of their time in Program. Personal Assistance with a participant may be necessary on an individual basis.
