Job description

Sellers & Associates LLCโ€ฏis seeking a Training Specialist to support the analysis of Manpower, Personnel, and Training, (MPT) and Instructional Systems Design (ISD) in support of CTC curriculum development and execution.

Experience Level:โ€ฏMID

Location: Pensacola, FL.

Travel Allocation: 0% - 10%

Clearance: Secret


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of training program development, from initial planning and analysis through to implementation and maintenance. This role blends deep subject matter expertise with proven instructional design methodologies to create, deliver, and refine effective training solutions.
  • Will ensure all content is technically and operationally accurate while being structured and presented according to sound learning principles.
  • Conduct analysis to identify and validate training requirements.
  • Work with project personnel and administrators to coordinate project planning, suggest content topics, and recommend alternative training strategies.
  • Develop training materials, ensuring the technical and operational accuracy of the subject content.
  • Point out elements that may be difficult or confusing and recommend activities based on learning objectives.
  • Must have experience in all phases of the Instructional Systems Development (ISD) process, including planning, analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation and maintenance of training programs.
  • Specific Experience Requirements: Additionally, the Learning Centers request personnel with experience from the following specialties to the extent possible in the hiring process:
    - Naval Air crewman Tactical Helicopter (AWR) experience for CNATT
    - Operations or maintenance of complex surface ship combat systems for SCSTC (specific Navy enlisted rating experience for SME personnel listed in detail below)
  • Furthermore, SCSTC requests SME personnel to have at least five years of experience in the following Navy enlisted ratings from the Surface Warfare community to meet the minimum qualifications to perform their duties at the SCSTC units:
    - Fire Control man (Aegis) (FCA) experience for Aegis Training and Readiness Center (ATRC) Dahlgren
    - Fire Control man (Conventional) (FC) experience for SCSTC Unit Dam Neck (SCSTCUDN)
    - Electronics Technician (ET) experience for SCSTC Unit Dam Neck (SCSTCUDN)


Requirements:โ€ฏโ€ฏโ€ฏ

  • Minimum Education: Shall, at a minimum, have Bachelorโ€™s degree, in Training Development / Instructional System Design or a Bachelorโ€™s degree in any discipline and a certification in training development.
  • Minimum Experience: In addition to the education requirements above, the Training Specialist must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience performing same or similar tasks. Concurrently, the Training Specialist will have two (2) years of experience with Navy educational and training systems and processes.
  • Education Equivalency: Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in U.S. Navy training/ education or Navy Master Training Specialist. Concurrent with the required minimum of five (5) years of experience performing same or similar tasks
