Training Manager

Location: Columbus, OH

Position Type: Full-Time

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Training Manager to lead the development, implementation, and execution of company-wide training initiatives. This role is responsible for creating engaging learning programs that support employee development, operational consistency, leadership growth, and organizational success.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with experience designing and delivering training programs in a fast-paced environment. This individual will partner closely with operations, recruiting, sales, and leadership teams to ensure employees are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and resources needed to perform at a high level.

Key Responsibilities

Training & Development

  • Design, develop, and deliver onboarding, operational, leadership, and professional development training programs.
  • Create engaging instructor-led, virtual, and self-paced learning materials.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve training content to align with company goals and industry best practices.
  • Ensure training programs promote consistency across all branch locations.
  • Maintain training calendars and coordinate company-wide learning initiatives.

Leadership Development

  • Develop and facilitate leadership development programs for Branch Managers, recruiters, and emerging leaders.
  • Coach managers on leadership skills, communication, accountability, and employee development.
  • Support succession planning initiatives by identifying and developing high-potential talent.
  • Assist leaders with performance improvement strategies and ongoing coaching.

Onboarding & Employee Success

  • Lead new hire onboarding programs to ensure a positive employee experience.
  • Partner with department leaders to identify role-specific training needs.
  • Monitor onboarding effectiveness and recommend continuous improvements.
  • Develop training plans for new systems, policies, and operational processes.

Operational Support

  • Partner with Operations, Human Resources, Recruiting, and Sales leadership to identify training opportunities.
  • Standardize operating procedures and training documentation across departments.
  • Assist with company rollouts, process improvements, and organizational change initiatives.
  • Support compliance training related to company policies, employment practices, safety, and operational procedures.

Performance & Reporting

  • Track training completion, employee participation, and program effectiveness.
  • Develop metrics and reporting to measure training impact and employee performance.
  • Gather employee and leadership feedback to continuously improve learning programs.
  • Maintain accurate training records and documentation.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Education, Organizational Development, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in training, learning and development, organizational development, or leadership development.
  • Experience designing and facilitating training programs for multiple employee levels.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience developing instructional materials and training documentation.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Learning Management Systems (LMS) or HRIS platforms.

Preferred

  • Experience within staffing, workforce solutions, recruiting, manufacturing, logistics, or service industries.
  • Experience supporting multi-location operations.
  • Training certifications such as ATD, CPTD, SHRM, or similar credentials.
  • Experience with change management and leadership coaching.
