We are hiring a Regional Training & Safety Manager to lead CDL driver training, safety programs, and workforce development across multiple locations. This dual-role leadership position is ideal for someone with experience in trucking, construction, or ready-mix operations, who is passionate about employee development, DOT compliance, OSHA safety standards, and operational excellence.

This is more than a training job—it’s a high-impact leadership role where you will oversee driver onboarding, safety compliance, risk management, and training program effectiveness across the region.

  • Recruit, interview, and hire qualified CDL drivers and equipment operators
  • Deliver hands-on training focused on safe driving practices, equipment operation, and DOT compliance
  • Coach and mentor drivers to improve performance, retention, and long-term career growth
  • Support and manage plant-level trainers to ensure consistent training standards
Safety Management & Compliance (DOT / OSHA)
  • Lead regional safety programs in compliance with DOT regulations, OSHA standards, and company policies
  • Conduct safety audits, job site inspections, and risk assessments across multiple locations
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and implement corrective action plans
  • Deliver safety training, toolbox talks, and compliance programs for drivers and plant teams
  • Monitor and report on safety KPIs, incident rates, and regulatory compliance metrics
  • Ensure adherence to FMCSA regulations, driver qualification standards, and fleet safety policies
Leadership, Culture & Workforce Development
  • Promote SRM’s 5 Principles: Safety, Quality, Kindness, Cleanliness, and Go-Getter mindset
  • Build a safety-first culture while driving employee engagement and accountability
  • Partner with HR and operations leaders on talent development, retention, and performance improvement
  • Travel regionally to support training, safety compliance, and team development initiatives

  • Experience in CDL training, safety management, fleet safety, or transportation leadership
  • Strong knowledge of DOT, FMCSA, and OSHA regulations
  • Background in trucking, construction, logistics, or ready-mix concrete operations preferred
  • Proven ability to lead driver training programs and safety initiatives
  • CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) preferred
  • Experience with incident investigation, safety audits, and compliance reporting
  • Strong leadership, communication, and coaching skills
  • Ability to manage multi-site operations and regional travel
  • Proficiency with training systems, safety software, and applicant tracking systems
