Manager of Workforce Training & Development
Monday-Friday (position is on site)
Full-time 1.0 FTE
Exempt/Salaried
Salary range: $110,000-$125,000 per year. Salary is commensurate with experience and other job-related factors.
The Manager of Workforce Training & Development is responsible for leading organizational wide trainings and career pathways through coordinating, management and execution of workforce development programs. The Manager will proactively assess the needs of the organization and work closely with internal stakeholders, external workforce consultants, schools, and community-based partners. In collaboration with the CHRO, will design and launch a career pathway program to upskill its current workforce and expand employment opportunities to residents within the community. Collaborate with the CHRO to incorporate an innovative employee recognition programs and events.
Implement and oversee organization-wide training programs, including employee customer service, supervisory development, trauma-informed care, and any workforce and HR-related trainings.
Collaborate with the management team to provide workforce development, planning & support.
Facilitate various staff trainings held with internal and external parties.
Develop and launch career pathways and its curriculum for career tracks.
Manage employee opinion and workforce-related surveys while assisting managers in implementing a results-oriented action plan.
Develop staff & supervisory trainings for new hires and periodically though the year for all staff.
Engage with community-based participants with wrap around support to reduce any learning or participation barriers.
Implement a train the trainer model with consultation from external vendors.
Partner with community-based schools, colleges and training programs that serve community residents.
Pursue referral arrangements with community service organizations, such as JPNDC, state public resource agencies, including DTA, substance use treatment program, refugee and immigration services, restorative justice organization housing authorities, and family shelters.
Responsible for impact/outcomes tracking and supporting grant reporting to funders.
Cultivate employee recognition programs through collaboration and feedback from managers and staff.
Manage execution of all activities, projects, trainings and deadlines related to workforce development and employee recognition.
Other related duties as assigned.
Must have workforce training & development experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a community health center.
Previous experience with launching employee recognition programs.
A minimum of 5+ years of managerial training experience in healthcare.
Excellent customer service and cultural sensitivity is a must.
Must have strong interpersonal skills, effective communication, including written and oral.
Advanced skills with Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other web-based applications.
Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
Ability to work with confidential information.
Highly organized with ability manage multiple projects at once.
Must be able to work independently and with guidance from CHRO.
Occasional travel to other buildings and to programs in the community.
