ONSITE

POSITION PURPOSE

The Workforce Development Coordinator supports organizational workforce initiatives by coordinating employee development programs, onboarding support, educational partnerships, resident and student experiences, compliance tracking, and employee engagement processes. This role serves as a key liaison between Human Resources, operational leaders, educational institutions, residency programs, and employees to ensure a positive and compliant workforce experience. 

The Workforce Development Coordinator is responsible for maintaining workforce development programs and systems, supporting employee growth opportunities, ensuring compliance with licensing and educational requirements, and promoting organizational learning initiatives. This role requires exceptional organization, communication, follow-through, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment. 


ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Workforce Development & Educational Partnerships 

  • Coordinate and manage resident, student, and workforce development programs across the organization.  

  • Maintain and oversee affiliation agreements with colleges, universities, residency programs, and educational partners.  

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for student and resident placement coordination and onboarding support.  

  • Support the development, promotion, and communication of organizational workforce development and educational initiatives, including UH University programs.  

  • Market available educational and professional development opportunities to staff through internal communication channels.  

  • Collaborate with leadership and internal departments to improve workforce development programming and employee growth opportunities.  

Regulatory & Program Compliance 

  • Maintain organizational participation and compliance with workforce development programs including NHSC and HRSA initiatives.  

  • Coordinate and ensure timely submission and maintenance of NHSC and HRSA applications, renewals, and supporting documentation.  

  • Ensure organizational branding and designation as an approved NHSC site is accurately reflected on company websites and recruitment materials.  

  • Track employee licensure, certifications, credentialing, and DEA expiration dates; distribute timely reminders to employees and leadership regarding upcoming renewals.  

  • Maintain accurate workforce compliance records and reporting documentation.  

Employee Development & Training Administration 

  • Review, process, and approve employee education and training requests in accordance with organizational policy and budget guidelines.  

  • Serve as a subject matter resource regarding training policies, learning systems, and workforce development procedures.  

  • Support administration and utilization of learning management systems and employee engagement platforms.  

  • Assist with continuous improvement efforts related to employee training and development processes.  

Employee Experience & Onboarding Support 

  • Serve as a backup resource for onboarding coordination and new hire orientation processes.  

  • Support employee engagement activities, workforce events, recognition efforts, and employee experience initiatives.  

  • Collaborate with Internal Communications regarding workforce development programs, onboarding updates, training opportunities, surveys, and employee engagement activities.  

  • Maintain knowledge and expertise in organizational systems including ADP, Lattice, learning management systems, and related HR technologies.  

Performance Review & Survey Coordination 

  • Coordinate and monitor annual performance reviews and 30/60/90-day employee evaluations to ensure timely completion across the organization.  

  • Administer and manage workforce-related surveys and feedback initiatives through Lattice or other engagement platforms.  

  • Track participation and completion metrics related to reviews and surveys.  

  • Gather employee and leadership feedback regarding review and survey processes and recommend process improvements.  

  • Implement approved updates and enhancements to workforce development and employee feedback processes.  

Administrative and Operational Support 

  • Maintain accurate records, reports, dashboards, and tracking systems using Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Smartsheet, and other organizational platforms.  

  • Prepare reports and workforce development metrics for leadership as requested.  

  • Ensure confidentiality and secure handling of sensitive employee and organizational information.  

  • Perform additional duties as assigned in support of Human Resources and workforce development operations. 

  • Other duties and projects assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Associate degree (AA) required.  
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in Human Resources, workforce development, healthcare administration, education coordination, or related field.  

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities simultaneously.  

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.  

  • Experience using SharePoint, Smartsheet, HRIS systems, and learning management systems.  

  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.  

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise professionalism in sensitive situations.  

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Education, or related field.  

  • Experience working in healthcare, residency programs, workforce development, or educational program coordination.  

  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now, Lattice, and employee engagement platforms.  

  • Knowledge of NHSC, HRSA, credential tracking, and healthcare workforce compliance requirements. 

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain appropriate auto insurance, as required.  

  • Not excluded, suspended, or debarred from participation in federal healthcare programs (e.g., Medicare/Medicaid). 

  • Bilingual skills or translation capabilities. 


SCHEDULE
Monday through Friday - 8:00am - 5:00pm; standard business hours with flexibility to meet service timelines.
SALARY
Wage Band: $ 71,850- $ 84,420
