Job description

Overview

Zaxby's is seeking a motivated Manager in Training to join our growing Zaxby’s team. This role is designed for individuals who want to develop into a Zaxby’s restaurant leader and help continue the growth and development of our team members.

This is an excellent opportunity for a strong leader who wants to grow with a rapidly expanding restaurant group.

Training Program

The Manager in Training will complete a hands-on training program designed to prepare them to lead the restaurant. Training will focus on:

  • Restaurant operations and brand standards
  • Team leadership and culture building
  • Hiring, onboarding, and staff development
  • Inventory, scheduling, and cost management
  • Financial performance and P&L basics
  • Guest experience and operational excellence

Training will take place within existing Zaxby's restaurants and include direct mentorship from experienced leaders.

Responsibilities During Training

  • Learn and execute daily restaurant operations, including food quality, service, cleanliness, and speed of service
  • Work alongside restaurant leadership to understand hiring, training, and team development
  • Assist with scheduling, staffing, and inventory management
  • Learn how to review restaurant performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Support management in maintaining a strong team culture and guest experience

  • 1–3+ years of restaurant management experience preferred
  • Strong leadership and communication skills

  • Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to high standards
  • Ability to work full time (32+ hours per week)
