Job description

Job Title: Urologist
Location: VA Sierra Nevada Health Care System – Reno, Nevada
Appointment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Service: Surgical Service

Summary:
The VA Sierra Nevada Health Care System in Reno, Nevada is seeking a board?certified or board?eligible Urologist to join our dedicated team. This is an opportunity to provide high-quality, patient-centered care to Veterans while enjoying a balanced lifestyle in a rapidly growing, outdoor?friendly community.

Major Duties:

  • Provide comprehensive urologic evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for outpatient and inpatient Veterans.
  • Perform urologic surgeries and procedures, including minimally invasive techniques.
  • Participate in call coverage on a rotating schedule.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including primary care, oncology, and surgery.
  • Interpret diagnostic imaging and laboratory results.
  • Document care in the electronic medical record in accordance with VA standards.
  • Engage in quality improvement, committee participation, and peer review activities.
  • Supervise and educate medical students, residents, or trainees as applicable.

Qualifications:

  • U.S. citizenship (required).
  • Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification or board eligibility in Urology.
  • Unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state or territory.
  • Completion of ACGME-accredited Urology Residency.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Work Schedule:
Standard Monday–Friday schedule; call responsibilities shared among the Urology team.
