Job Summary:
Syntricate Technologies is a mid-sized financial services company seeking an MS SQL Developer/DBA to join their IT department. The role involves maintaining internal databases for efficiency and performance, creating ad-hoc reports, and collaborating with team members to enhance applications.
Responsibilities:
• MS SQL Server Database Administrator
• Extensive TSQL experience, including query optimization
• Create and maintain SSIS packages
• Create and maintain SSRS reports, and SSRS subscriptions, and maintain SSRS server
• Create and maintain SSAS cubes
• Perform code reviews for SQL work from the developers and provide guidance on acceptable code practices
• Maintain knowledge of best practices surrounding IT technology, processes & database / support
• Communicate with team members to gather accurate requirements for new enhancements and applications
• Maintain database documentation regarding data standards and procedures
Qualifications:
Required:
• 6+ years Microsoft SQL Enterprise DBA experience is required
• Microsoft SQL 2016 or higher
• SSRS report creation, server management, and administration
• SSIS data package building
• SSAS cube building and maintenance
• TSQL
• Use of CTE
• Use of Idera
• Troubleshooting SQL queries for deadlocking and blocking
• Use of database statistics
• Working in a high availability cluster SQL database environment
• Experience with GIT
• Experience with Azure Devops
• Experience with PowerBI

• Hands-on experience creating, modifying, and analyzing SQL and T-SQL statements
• Proven knowledge of Stored Procedures, Tables, Views, Indexes, Keys
• Understanding of database performance bottlenecks and ability to track them down. Use of Execution Plans and Optimizer is a must
• Prior experience with Visual Studio to create SSRS reports, SSIS packages, SSAS cubes
• Prior experience with Microsoft Management studio
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server Enterprise version 2016 and above
• Proven experience using MS SQL Server database design & T-SQL, with the ability to write stored procedures, user-defined functions & SQL queries
Preferred:
• Use of performance tools such as Idera
• Experience with Git and Azure Devops
