Job description

Position Summary:ย 

Emerging Leaders isย aย 16-weekย full-time developmentย programย designed forย internalย associates whoย have aย strong work ethic,ย desire to lead people andย are eagerย toย grow their skills.ย Thisย programย includesย on-demand learning materials,ย hands-on experiencesย in operations,ย andย aย leadership skill building cohort series. Traineesย in the programย willย participateย in targeted training sessions, shadow operational experts,ย and take on increasing responsibilitiesย and projectsย as they progress through the program. By the end of theย 16 weeks, trainees will be equipped with the skills,ย knowledgeย and leadership behaviorsย necessary toย perform aย supervisory roleย in the Distribution Center.ย ย 

ย Afterย successfulย completion of the program,ย Emergingย Leadersย will beย placed intoย a Supervisor, Distribution Operationsย position.ย ย ย 

Functional Trainingย ย 

Functional Training isย deliveredย throughย rotating through the following modules:ย Safety, Human Resources, Food Safety, Receiving, Inventory, Shipping, Transportation and Facilitiesย departments.ย 

Leadership Skill Buildingย 
The Leadership Skill Buildingย will develop the essential skills needed to engage and lead a team effectively. The training will be conducted inย cohort sessions where the trainees will meet biweekly to discuss how they have applied eachย leadership behavior during their functional training.ย 

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:ย 

Trainees will be requiredย to manageย their time during their functional and leadership training, completing all knowledgeย checksย andย learningย boosters.ย They will be required to actively participate inย allย functional and leadershipย trainingย sessionsย with the Module Leads.ย ย 

Minimum Qualifications & Experienceย ย 

  • Must be employed full-time at ADUSA Distribution & Transportationย for at leastย 6 monthsย ย 

  • Must have an attendance record of fewer than 3 pointsย ย 

  • High school diploma or equivalent requiredย ย 

  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding performance expectations in current roleย ย 

  • No active performance counseling's or disciplinary actions on recordย ย 

  • Flexibility with work schedules required during program, including shifts and overtime as neededย ย 

  • Computer Skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office andย Microsoft Outlookย ย 

Preferred Qualifications & Experienceย (if any)ย 

  • Ability to relocate upon graduation of the program (preferred, not required)
