Responsibilities

Critter Control Operations specializes in wildlife management services for residential and commercial properties, providing humane wildlife removal, exclusion, and damage repair solutions nationwide. We help customers resolve wildlife-related concerns in safe, effective, and environmentally responsible ways while protecting homes, businesses, and communities.

This seasonal role is ideal for individuals with a background in construction, repair, or related trades who are committed to craftsmanship and accountability—and who thrive in a high-demand, high-reward environment during peak wildlife season.

You’ll play a critical role in protecting homes during our busiest time of year by performing exclusion work, repairs, and remediation while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

As a Seasonal Wildlife Exclusion/Repair Service Technician, you perform hands-on exclusion, repair, and remediation services for residential and commercial properties. You identify entry points, complete structural repairs, and implement humane wildlife prevention solutions while following safety, technical, and quality guidelines.

What Does a Day in the Life Look Like?

  • Safely remove wildlife using humane trapping and relocation techniques in accordance with company standards and regulations
  • Install preventative exclusion materials such as screens, chimney caps, vent covers, and other barriers to prevent wildlife access.
  • Complete minor repairs to roofs, siding, foundations, and other structural areas where wildlife may gain entry.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of services performed, materials used, and customer interactions.
  • Provide clear, detailed reports and review completed scopes of work with customers.
  • Follow up with customers to confirm satisfaction and address any additional concerns or recommendations.

Qualifications

What do you need to be successful?

  • High school diploma or equivalent; college degree is a plus
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Proven experience in construction, carpentry, roofing, or other related fields
  • Ability to work in the field independently
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in using several types of software and applications
  • A strong work ethic and motivation to excel during a fast-paced seasonal period

What Does the Work Environment Look Like?

We go where the wildlife goes! Candidates must be physically capable of safely performing the following job duties with or without reasonable accommodation:

  • Must be able to drive to various locations, often covering large territories
  • Frequent walking, standing, and moving through diverse terrain, including uneven ground, stairs, roofs, and sometimes slippery or muddy areas
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.)—especially during peak summer months
  • Must have the ability to climb stairs and ladders safely
  • Must be able to crouch, kneel, bend, and stretch frequently
  • Capability to carry and use equipment necessary for inspections and minor control measures (traps, ladders, inspection tools, etc.)
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly
  • Clear verbal communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members
