Job Summary:

Drives a variety of vehicles including trucks, vans and tractor/trailers.

Key Responsibilities:

· Performs daily truck check each morning before leaving the dock and submits reports daily to the Transportation Coordinator.

· Drives Tractor and delivers an equipped trailer to Attended Donation Center, exchanges it for a full trailer, secures replacement trailer on site and returns full trailer to Plant. Continue additional rotations according to schedule.

· Services propane in ADC’s Trailers according to procedure.

· Drives service truck to ADC’s to deliver supplies and pick up large items left after hours.

· Makes special pickups at residential or commercial sites as routed by the dispatcher.

· Makes store deliveries, ensuring all documents and items listed to be shipped are in order and securely packed and secured for transport.

· Unloads trucks at stores and places merchandise on floors in locations designated by the store manager.

· Aids in unloading, loading or re-equipping trailers at dock as necessary.

· Reports any mechanical problems relating to the tractor, trailers, and trucks to the Transportation Coordinator as soon as possible.

· Drivers are required for some weekends and holidays, as assigned per schedule or on-call. Performs rotations and service runs as needed.

· Provides oversight and direction to material handlers assigned to duty as truck helpers.

· Must wear company approved gloves while pushing/pulling carts.

· Must wear company approved safety glasses/ face shield when dumping carts of glass.

· You must wear safety toe shoes while always working.

· Reviews and is familiar with Company safety policies, programs and procedures. Adheres to all safety rules, regulations and safety codes, and attends safety training sessions and safety meetings.

Skills & Experience

· Must be 21 years of age

· Must be eligible for positive outcomes on required State of Oklahoma criminal convictions background check.

· Must have a valid Oklahoma Driver’s License, with a good driving record with a minimum of two years' experience operating tractor/trailer.

· Must be able to cross state lines per DOT physical card

· Successfully passing pre-employment drug test.

· Must maintain appropriate requirements for legal vehicle operation including current automobile insurance, inspection and license plates.

· Must maintain compliance with Goodwill’s Drug and Alcohol Abuse Policy.

· Must follow all Federal Motor Carrier Laws and Regulations.

· Must wear company approved shirts.

· Goodwill considers this a safety sensitive position because it includes tasks or duties that Goodwill reasonably believes could affect the safety and health of the employee or others.


Education & Certifications

· On-the-job training (serving as learner or trainee on the job under the instruction of a qualified worker). Over 2 years up to and including 4 years.


Physical Requirements


· Climbing, balancing, talking, hearing, stooping, crouching, reaching, handling, fingering, feeling, acuity-near, acuity-far, depth perception, field of vision and accommodation.

· Lifting/Carrying: Very Heavy Work: Lifting objects more than 100 lbs. with a two-man lift with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing 50 lbs. or more.
