  • Provide comprehensive training to new and existing propane delivery drivers.
  • Conduct hands-on training sessions on safe propane handling, equipment usage, and DOT compliance.

  • Ensure trainees are proficient in vehicle operation, propane safety, and customer service skills before they begin independent driving.
  • Assess and evaluate trainee performance through regular feedback and documentation.
  • Work with the operations team to continuously improve training programs and delivery processes.
  • Act as a resource for drivers needing additional coaching, guidance, or support.
  • Monitor driver adherence to company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and management.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation.
  • Follow OSHA, DOT, and all state/federal safety and transport regulations.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience driving a propane bobtail truck.
    • Proven experience in training or mentoring new employees is highly preferred.
    • A clean driving record with a valid CDL (Class A or B) with HAZMAT endorsement.
  • Skills & Abilities:
    • In-depth knowledge of propane safety regulations, DOT rules, and best practices for fuel delivery.
    • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Ability to evaluate performance and provide constructive feedback.
    • Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
    • Proficiency with digital and delivery tracking systems and reporting tools.
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
    • Ability to work in various weather conditions.
