Job description

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge of basic kitchen utensils and equipment in school kitchens.
  • Experience in quantity food preparation, sanitation, food safety, kitchen maintenance, and computers preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative in task performance.
  • Ability to understand and carry out oral and written directions.
  • Ability to maintain cooperative relationships with fellow employees and students.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background/fingerprint check ($75 fee).
  • Currently holds or has the ability to obtain a valid Food Handlers certification upon hire.

ESTIMATED START DATE:  August 28, 2026 (New staff orientation)

WAGES:    $17.00 $18.67 per hour, dependent on experience and per the 2026/27 OSEA Salary Schedule
