Job description

This custodial position is split between South Prairie Elementary and Liberty Elementary Schools.

Main objective: To maintain the school building in order to provide students and staff with a safe, attractive, comfortable, clean, and efficient place in which to teach, learn, play, and develop.

QUALIFICATIONS:           

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Have the necessary aptitudes for work, i.e., self-starter, needs a minimum of direction or supervision
  • Knowledge of cleaning methods and the use, care and safety of cleaning materials and equipment
  • Knowledge of requirements for maintaining school buildings in a safe, clean, and orderly condition
  • Three years of experience working with students and public is desirable but not required
  • Ability to pass a Criminal Background/fingerprint check ($75 fee)

ESTIMATED START DATE:  As soon as possible

WAGES:    $19.36 $21.26 per hour, dependent on experience and per the 2026/27 OSEA Salary Schedule
