Starting the 2026-2027 School Year

Hours: 8:15am-3:15pm

Starting Pay: $16.25/hour

Must have, or be willing to obtain the following:ย 

  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree,
  • Paraeducator Certificate (Early Childhood emphasis),
  • CDA Credential,
  • or 2 years of college

Position Summary

The Preschool Paraeducator works alongside and under the direct supervision of a licensed Early Childhood Educator to provide a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment for preschool-aged children. This role focuses on supporting the academic, social-emotional, and physical development of young learners in alignment with the Iowa Early Learning Standards (IELS) and Iowa Quality Preschool Program Standards (IQPPS).
