Job Summary
Maysville Community & Technical College is currently seeking a full time, 10-month, term contract position to serve the Rowan and Maysville Campuses as a Medical Laboratory Technician Instructor. The responsibilities of a teaching faculty member reflect the philosophy of a comprehensive community and technical college and will include teaching, advising, internal/external service, professional development, and leadership as assigned. Maysville Community and Technical College, a part of the Kentucky Community & Technical College System, is a SACSCOC accredited post-secondary institution experiencing rapid growth.

โ€ข Medical Laboratory Technician Instructors are assigned teaching duties in the classroom and/or lab setting. Candidates will provide instruction to students in both theory and practice in medical laboratory technology. Candidates must keep abreast of changes in the field with continuing education and help keep the program updated. This position will have a varied work schedule. Candidates should be energetic, enthusiastic and have an in-depth understanding of the principles in medical laboratory technology.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
โ€ข Student-focused educator committed to student learning, retention, persistence, and completion.
โ€ข Prepare and teach MLT students in both laboratory and lecture instruction.
โ€ข Participate in the development and progress of the MLT program by contributing to the development of curriculum, teaching materials, and assessments.
โ€ข Participate in orientation, faculty, advisory and division meetings.
โ€ข Provide remediation and evaluation of students with identified skill deficit(s).
โ€ข Maintain, use and organize lab supplies and training materials for student skills demonstrations and practice.
โ€ข Student advising
โ€ข Teach at various levels to help support the MLT program.
โ€ข Evaluate student achievement and assess program outcomes to continually develop the MLT curriculum, policies and procedures.

โ€ข Bachelor's or Associate degree with 3 years of related work experience in Medical or Clinical Laboratory Science or Technology plus certification as a MLT, MT or MLS.
