Work Schedule

This position works the following schedule:

  • Tuesday through Friday: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM

  • Saturday: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

The range for this position is $21.00 to $24.00 hourly.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

The 3rd Party Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating delivery schedules, communicating with customers and drivers, and ensuring efficient transportation operations. This position serves as a key point of contact for drivers, customer care teams, consumers, and sales personnel to facilitate on-time deliveries and resolve issues quickly and professionally.

Principal Functional Responsibilities

  • Communicate regularly with dispatch, customer care, lead times, deliveries, and issues are properly managed and resolved

  • Efficiently and effectively interact with drivers entering and exiting the facility

  • Monitor shipment status and proactively communicate updates, delays, or issues to all affected parties

  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, driver activity, and transportation documentation

  • Assist in resolving transportation and scheduling concerns promptly

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, transportation regulations, and safety standards

  • Work closely with third-party carriers to maximize service levels and delivery performance

Essential Qualifications and Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 1-2 years of previous customer service and/or dispatching experience

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other computer applications

  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to build and maintain professional business relationships

  • Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent attendance and reliability are required

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • DOT knowledge and experience

  • Call center, transportation, or truck dispatching experience

  • Experience scheduling inbound and outbound freight

  • Experience working with third-party logistics providers and common carriers

  • Understanding of freight, delivery, and logistics operations

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer

  • Ability to communicate effectively by phone and email throughout the workday

  • Ability to occasionally lift to 20 lbs

Working Conditions
