Job description

The North America Inbound Logistics Coordinator will own the inbound freight process from origin to delivery - shipment visibility, booking exceptions, carrier coordination, and cost analysis across air, ocean, and domestic modes. This role sits at the intersection of logistics execution and supply chain planning, and your work directly determines inventory availability, landed cost, and on-time delivery. You'll operate within the broader TaylorMade and Sun Day Red supply chain network, partnering across brands to drive shared logistics performance.

Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities:

  • Own end-to-end visibility of international inbound shipments across all North American distribution centers, delivering timely, accurate status to planning and buying teams to protect inventory availability.
  • Manage booking exceptions with urgency - optimize container utilization, determine LCL vs. FCL, and make air conversion calls when service levels are at risk.
  • Coordinate daily inbound delivery schedules and work directly with air and ocean carriers to recover freight and minimize disruption.
  • Anticipate peak volume demands and communicate capacity forecasts to logistics partners early enough to secure space before constraints emerge.
  • Own freight cost per unit by category - maintaining YTD actuals and a rolling forward forecast that gives Supply Chain Finance clean, decision-ready data.
  • Develop and maintain routing guides and Global Shipping Instructions, ensuring suppliers have clear, current standards to execute against.
  • Provide regular reporting on landed cost, on-time delivery, transit time, and booking status - keeping purchasing, planning, receiving, and assembly aligned and ahead of issues.
  • Continuously challenge the status quo - identify waste, tighten handoffs, and bring forward insights that improve service levels without sacrificing cost discipline.
  • Partner across TaylorMade and Sun Day Red supply chain teams to align on shared logistics standards, carrier relationships, and performance goals.

Knowledge and Skills Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of traffic, logistics, and customs models and practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills (verbal & writing) to facilitate coordination of tasks and projects at all organizational levels, internally and externally.
  • Advanced ability to utilize observations and data to break down problems, understand root causes, provide options, and reach conclusions.
  • A strong team player with a proven ability to work cross functionally to achieve goals and influence outside of their direct organization structure.
  • Ability to acknowledge multiple perspectives across stakeholders and facilitate alignment utilizing objectivity and what is "best for the business".

Education, Professional Certification and Work Experience:

  • 3-5 years in logistics, transportation, distribution, or a related role.
  • Strong Excel skills (lookups, pivots, modeling) and working knowledge of ERP, WMS, and TMS platforms.
  • Practical understanding of transportation modes, Incoterms, and customs documentation.
  • Proactive problem-solver who identifies constraints early and works across partners to resolve them.
  • Experience supporting a growing brand or independent business unit is a plus.
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in supply chain or business preferred; equivalent experience considered.

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

  • Primarily office environment with frequent computer use
  • Ability to work extended hours as necessary
  • Light physical effort equal to frequent lifting or moving of lightweight materials
  • Work across TaylorMade and Sun Day Red offices, with a regular presence at both locations each week
