The right candidate is a self-starter who rolls up their sleeves to do what needs to be done. Whether building an initiative from scratch, writing the proposal, finding the data, piloting a new approach, or scaling a proven program, this person operates with urgency and ownership. This leader is well-versed and well-connected in the military community, able to connect work directly to business outcomes, and skilled at influencing stakeholders internally and externally to ensure the right work moves forward.
Key job responsibilities
Build and own Amazon's global military talent attraction strategy, including marketing, partnerships, sponsorships, and community engagement programs.
Partner closely with Amazon's Global Military Affairs team to activate military sponsorships and partnerships for Talent Acquisition (TA).
Work directly with TA Directors across business lines to understand hiring needs, challenges, and priorities, then develop and deliver solutions that create military talent pipelines.
Develop and pilot new initiatives from concept through execution, including writing proposals, sourcing data, testing approaches, and iterating based on results.
Scale proven programs and oversee ongoing partnerships and sponsorships to maximize reach and hiring impact.
Build internal partner strategies by identifying teams across Amazon with aligned goals to amplify efforts and share resources.
Own military candidate attraction goals and report on funnel performance, candidate trends, and business outcomes through monthly, quarterly, and annual scorecards.
Forge direct relationships with state agencies, military installations, Transition Assistance Programs (TAP), and veteran service organizations to expand pipeline reach.
Create compelling content and messaging tailored to military audiences across digital platforms, events, and community outreach.
Organize and execute military-focused events including job fairs, workshops, hiring days, and informational sessions.
Identify gaps and opportunities in military hiring conversion and retention; champion programs and solutions to close gaps.
Travel domestically up to 25% of the year to attend events, visit military installations, and build relationships.
About the team
