Overview

Follow your passion all the way to paradise at the beautiful TradeWinds Resort, a Tampa Bay Times Top Workplace for seven years in a row!  TradeWinds features three destination resorts just 200 flip flops from one another along the gorgeous Gulf Coast on St. Pete Beach, a Top-Ranked US Beach! 

Primary Function will be supporting the banquet operations and the entire leadership team.  Secondary responsibility will be to assist with F&B operations as needed. This will be based on the level of business. The Banquet operation is part of F&B, and we work together as a team.  

The Banquet Supervisor is responsible for ensuring a smooth start to each day. Responsible for overseeing the event spaces, for the day are prepared to be in use, check in with the captains and servicing team, and report to contacts for updates. While events are in progress this person is responsible for the set up and flow of the supervisor's office operation and making sure all necessary documents and items are available. This includes but is not limited to sign in sheets, RO forms, captain reports, Leadership schedules.  

Responsibilities
  • Supervise banquet staff during setup, service, and breakdown.
  • Ownership of Menus, labels, and BEO's.
  • Coordinate with kitchen and event planners for seamless execution.
  • Ensure all event spaces are properly arranged and maintained.
  • Holiday buffet planning.
  • Creating and placing directional signs.
  • Address Guest inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
  • Monitor staff performance and provide training as needed.
  • Maintain inventory of banquet supplies and equipment.
  • Enforce health, safety, and sanitation standards.
  • Prepare event reports and communicate feedback to management.
  • Manage staff schedules and delegate tasks effectively.
  • Oversee the flow of service to ensure Guest satisfaction.
  • Assist with banquet requisitions, payroll, organizing schedules, and SOP's. 
  • Staffing Meetings.
  • Completing hotel safety trainers.
Qualifications
  • Computer experience preferred word and excel.
  • Payroll experience is a plus; otherwise, training is available. We use Dayforce.
  • Banquet check posting and editing systems are Salesforce and Opera.
  • Communication skills and building relationships with other departments

  • Experience in banquets (captains or supervisors preferred in the hospitality industry)

  • Available to work extended hours, weekends and holidays
