The team you will be a part of
The Sales Strategy and Business Operations team is responsible for planning of all sales activities. Researches and analyzes the organization's existing and targeted customers to develop a knowledge base of sales trends. Plans and coordinates projects to improve the operational efficiency and effectiveness of the sales force.
This role in summary
We are seeking qualified candidates to join the US Sales team for KitchenAid Small Appliances in a newly created role designed to bridge the gap between traditional retail sales and the future of AI-driven commerce. In this role, you will be responsible for unlocking the commercial data sitting within our major retail portals, combining it with our internal data to bridge the gap between external market realities and internal operations. By transforming data into actionable commercial strategies, you will uncover new product opportunities, maximize trade spend ROI, and elevate our commercial storytelling with data-driven insights.
Your responsibilities will include
Data Mining & Insights:
  • Extract, clean, and analyze underutilized consumer and transactional data from major retail portals (e.g., Walmart Retail Link, Amazon Vendor Central, Target Partners Online).
  • Leakage & Whitespace Identification: Proactively identify market whitespaces, operational lost sales, and costly out-of-stock trends before they impact the bottom line.
  • Trade Spend Optimization: Analyze trade promotion effectiveness and ROI to ensure every dollar invested in retail channels drives maximum profitable growth.

Elevating Partner Relationships
  • Strategic Storytelling: Translate complex data points into compelling, commercial narratives and joint business plans.
  • Buyer Influence: Arm Sales Managers with the portal insights, category trends, and inventory data needed to drive solutions that lead to growth.

Reporting & AI integration
  • Centralize Data Management: Standardize and centralize our retail portal data, ensuring a single, accurate source of truth for the entire commercial team
  • AI Integration: Define and pioneer the role of AI and advanced analytics within the sales processes, automating routine data aggregation.

Minimum requirements
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5 years of experience in Trade Analytics, Category Management, or Commercial Business Intelligence in the CPG, Food & Beverage or Consumer Goods sector

Preferred skills and experiences
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Analytics, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience extracting and analyzing data from at least one of the major retail portals (e.g., Walmart Retail Link/Luminate, Amazon Vendor Central, Target Partners Online)
  • Portal Proficiency: Proven experience navigating and pulling actionable data from major retail portals (e.g., Walmart, Amazon, Target) and syndicated data (NIQ/Circana).
  • Technical Skills: Advanced capability in Excel and data visualization tools (Tableau) to blend external retail data with internal data sources.
  • Aptitude & Tool Utilization: experience utilizing modern AI tools, automated data orchestration platforms, or LLMs (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) to accelerate data cleaning, automate reporting pipelines, or generate market insights.
  • Data-Driven Communication: ability to translate complex datasets into "sales-speak"-turning raw portal numbers and technical insights into clear, persuasive, visual stories that internal sales managers and retail buyers can easily act upon.
