Job description

Trade Show Project Manager

Lead Projects from Concept to Show Floor.

Do you enjoy making complex projects look easy?

Trade shows don't wait. Every deadline matters, every detail counts, and when the doors open, everything has to be ready.

We're looking for an experienced Trade Show Project Manager who enjoys keeping projects organized, solving problems before they become issues, and giving clients confidence throughout the project.

At Exponents, you'll manage custom exhibit projects from start to finish, working with clients, designers, production, logistics, warehouse, and installation teams to deliver exhibits that are ready when the show begins.

If you enjoy working with good people, taking ownership of your projects, and seeing your work come to life on the show floor, we'd like to meet you.

Why Exponents?

For more than 40 years, Exponents has helped companies create custom trade show exhibits for events across the United States and around the world. Our clients return because they trust us to deliver, and that trust is built by the people who manage every project.

When you join Exponents, you'll:

  • Work on custom exhibit projects for nationally recognized brands.
  • Partner with experienced designers, fabricators, production specialists, and installers.
  • Build lasting relationships with clients who value your expertise.
  • Be trusted to make decisions and take ownership of your work.
  • Join a growing company where your contributions are recognized.
  • Experience the satisfaction of seeing months of planning come together on the show floor.

What You'll Do

You'll guide each project from contract award through post-show completion.

In this role, you'll:

  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and client expectations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients.
  • Coordinate production, graphics, freight, labor, and installation schedules.
  • Manage general contractor requirements and ensure critical show deadlines are met.
  • Partner with design, fabrication, warehouse, and field teams throughout the project.
  • Identify issues early and work with the team to keep projects on schedule.
  • Manage multiple projects while maintaining quality, schedules, and budgets.
  • Lead post-show reviews to identify lessons learned and opportunities for continuous improvement.

What Success Looks Like

You'll be successful when you:

  • Build lasting client relationships through clear communication, follow-through, and dependable execution.
  • Deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Keep clients, vendors, and internal teams aligned throughout each project.
  • Anticipate challenges and resolve issues before they impact the project.
  • Deliver exhibits that meet our quality standards and earn repeat business from our clients.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of trade show project management experience, including client-facing responsibility and hands-on show-site execution.
  • Experience coordinating with internal teams, vendors, and customers throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to build productive relationships with clients, vendors, and teammates.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, Event Management, or a related field.
  • Experience working with exhibit fabrication or custom exhibit production.
  • Experience coordinating audiovisual (AV) integration.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent project management training.

Benefits

  • Medical Insurance
  • Dental Insurance
  • Vision Insurance
  • Paid Time Off
  • Paid Holidays
