Job description

Job Summary
The Merchandising Coordinator supports the merchandising team by helping manage product assortments, pricing, promotions, inventory coordination, vendor communication, and reporting. This role ensures products are presented effectively and available to meet customer demand while supporting company sales and profitability goals.
Responsibilities and Duties
  • Operate as the central hub of merchandising ideas.
  • Research and find solutions to merchandising requests from all Category Managers.
  • Ensure that all merchandise is updated and ordered when graphic changes occur.
  • Act as a liaison between Marketing and Purchasing.
  • Develop new merchandising ideas and concepts.
  • Work with the design team to update all merchandising-related literature, when needed.
  • Coordinate merchandising activities across assigned product categories or locations.
  • Maintain product data, pricing, and promotional information in Midwest systems.
  • Assist with product launches, seasonal resets, and merchandising plans.
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate replenishment needs.
  • Work with vendors and suppliers on product availability, timelines, and updates.
  • Analyze sales trends and prepare reports for management.
  • Help ensure Midwest departments/employees follow merchandising standards and planograms.
  • Coordinate marketing materials, signage, and promotional displays.
  • Support purchasing and operations with product-related issues.
  • Track and resolve discrepancies involving orders, shipments, or pricing.
  • Help support marketing functions, when necessary.
  • Work with the Sales Department to fulfill customer merchandising requests.
  • Complete show registrations, exhibitor forms, service orders, and required documentation accurately and on time.
  • Coordinate booth space, furnishings, electrical services, internet, material handling, and other show-related services.
  • Manage hotel, travel, badges, and event logistics for employees attending trade shows.
  • Develop and maintain trade show checklists and timelines to ensure all event requirements are completed before established deadlines.
  • Coordinate booth setup and teardown, either directly or through show vendors and attending employees.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Merchandising, or related field preferred.
  • Previous merchandising, retail, inventory, or coordination experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office programs.
  • Ability to analyze data and identify trends.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Experience with ERP systems a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and vendor management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Knowledge of merchandising strategies and product presentation.
