Job description

Position:     S-1 General Supervision Aide- Melvindale High School

Role and Responsibilities

  1. Greet and direct students, parents, and other guests as they enter the building.
  2. Assist office staff with nonclerical responsibilities including but not limited to answering phone calls and answering door for visitors.
  3. Receive deliveries from parents (lunches, backpacks, homework, etc.)
  4. Receive delivery from post office, FedEX, EPS, etc.
  5. Assist in the supervision of the lunchrooms.
  6. Assist in supervision of the playground and/or indoor recess. 
  7. Supervise students during drop off and dismissal. 
  8. Cover lunches for office clerical staff.
  9. Monitor halls, check students for passes in halls during class time.
  10. Inspect lavatories, report violations of code of conduct to administration.
  11. Keep order and quiet in the halls while classes are passing.
  12. Keep students from loitering in hallways and lavatories.
  13. Other related assignments as requested by the principal or designee. 

Pay Rate:

  1. $15.20 (step 1)
  2. $16.00 (step 2)
  3. $16.63 (step 3)
  4. $17.51  (step 4)

Working Schedule:

Melvindale High School 4 hrs/day
