Position Summary

The Manager, Trade System Configuration & Optimization supports the execution and ongoing administration of trade fund management processes within the Revenue Growth Management (RGM) organization. This role is responsible for maintaining trade system configurations, improving trade spend visibility, supporting financial accuracy, and completing analyses that help the business improve promotional effectiveness and trade ROI.

The ideal candidate brings practical CPG trade fund knowledge, strong attention to detail, analytical capability, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional partners to deliver accurate, consistent, and timely results.

Key Responsibilities

Trade System Configuration & Process Execution

Maintain business configurations within trade fund management systems, including trade funds, events, customer and product hierarchies, approval workflows, and reporting dimensions. Apply established governance standards and business rules, monitor data quality, document configuration requirements, and execute system changes through testing, validation, user communication, and training support.

Trade Spend Reporting & Analysis

Prepare and maintain dashboards, scorecards, and post-event analyses that highlight variances, fund utilization, and customer or category P&L impacts. Complete promotional effectiveness analyses using trade rate, incremental volume, margin, and ROI measures, and summarize findings for business partners.

Cross-Functional Support & Continuous Improvement

Partner with RGM, Sales, Finance, Sales Planning, Category, and IT to resolve system and process issues, clarify requirements, and support consistent trade fund practices. Participate in governance and optimization reviews, provide data-based observations and recommendations, assist users with process standards, event coding, and reporting definitions, and identify practical opportunities to improve workflows and controls.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Analytics, Information Systems or a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in CPG, Revenue Growth Management, Trade Promotion Management, Sales Finance, Commercial Finance, Business Analytics, or a related field

Skills & Expertise

  • Solid understanding of trade fund management: funding, accruals, claims, and customer/category P&L
  • Experience with Trade Promotion Management, sales planning, financial planning, or commercial reporting systems
  • Analytical capability with Excel and tools such as Power BI or SQL
  • Strong process orientation with experience documenting business rules, identifying control gaps, and executing workflow improvements
  • Effective communicator who can collaborate across teams, explain system and reporting requirements, and support adoption of consistent trade fund practices
